The pay-off unit is composed of a steel frame with cantilever shafts that hold the reels. The shafts are driven by AC motors and controlled by electrical inverters ensuring high precisionin tension control.
The synchronization between the pay-off unit and the double twist machine, is achieved by a pneumaticaly controlled dancer for each reel. The unit includes a wire break switch on the dancer. The electrical equipment is also installed on the steel frame.
